Half-Vampire: Not wholly undead. Vampirism was unable to complete the transformation for a reason.

Would this still count as him"breathing his last breath"?

That said, there is a half-vampire template- but it's for the offspring of pregnant women that are turned into vampires, and survive the transition.

Or, for the offspring of mortals and vampires.

Still, the idea sounds interesting enough. There are other homebrew things jumping around in the comic, naming Elan the Dashing Swordsman as the most prominent example, then taking Durkons houserule 7th level mass death ward, Z's houserule flight spell, and ending the list (for now!) with Malacks sunblocker spell.

A homebrew version will prevent geeks to argue that the giant doesn't follow the core rules. scratch that, nothing will prevent geeks to be geekish
