I just read on another thread that iterative attacks do not work for unarmed attacks. So monks have to use flurry to get multiple attacks? Where does it say this?

Iterative (BAB based) attacks work with monk weapons & Unarmed strike.

Link the post saying otherwise.

Iterative attacks do not work for natural weapons, but unarmed strikes are in a weird place where they count as natural weapons for spells (and probably proficiency), but not otherwise (so they get iteratives and you can't tack one onto your normal iteratives at -5).

There are likely more exceptions to that general statement, but I can't think of any off the top of my head.

That poster is confused. Given the rest of the post, they are thinking about slam attacks, not unarmed strikes.

Any character can take iterative attacks unarmed. Not just Monks.
