Preacher of the Earth's Fury

The mountain is our home, acolyte. It is our fortress, our shelter, our refuge. And when the time is right, it is our greatest weapon.

Dwarf priests and druids do not commune with the gentle spirits of nature, nor with the hearts of the trees. They commune with rock and stone, with iron and basalt. And down in the deepest bowels of the earth, an order kept secret from the world above communes with the spirits of ash, magma, and fire. They draw their power from volcanoes, and their spells are enriched by the heat of the volcanoes. These priests are feared by the dwarves living their lives towards the surface, for their tempers can collapse entire cities and nations of the surface world. None dare provoke the Preachers of the Earth's Fury.

Weapons and Armour Proficiency
You gain no proficiency in any weapons or armour.

Spellcasting
At each level, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a divine spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other class feature a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one arcane spellcasting class or more than one divine spellcasting class before becoming a Preacher of the Earth's Fury, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Volcanic Temple (Su)
You are accustomed to living in areas of volcanic activity, and can survive in these areas that would be lethal to lesser beings. You are continually protected from extreme heat (but not cold) as though affected by an Endure Elements spell. You are also constantly affected as if by a Water Walking spell, though this only allows you to walk on the surface of lava or magma (though you still take damage for proximity to the magma, reduced by your Fire Resistance). In addition you do not need to breathe, and are immune to the effects of naturally occurring noxious gases.

Volcanic Priest (Su)
Your spells are powered by volcanic activity, and become particularly strong near to volcanoes and lava. You also are capable of casting several unusual spells.
While in a volcanic area (such as the ground surrounding a dormant volcano), your spells with the [fire] descriptor increase their damage dice by 1 (so for example, Wall of Fire deals 2d6 damage to creatures within 10 feet of the wall, and 1d6 to creatures within 20 feet). When in an area of strong volcanic activity (such as an actively erupting volcano, or near an exposed lava flow), your spells with the [fire descriptor] are empowered, as if by the Empower Spell metamagic feat. This does not affect the level of spell slot they use up.
In addition, add the following spells to your list of spells known. These spells are gained at the level that the divine spellcasting class you belonged to before would have gained access to them, based on their spell level.
2nd level: Tar Ball
3rd level: Ash Storm
4th level: Volcanic Storm, Obsidian Flow
5th level: Cloudkill
6th level: Tar Pool
8th level: Wall of Lava
9th level: Meteor Storm, Clashing Rocks

Fire Resistance (Ex)
As you progress in levels, you become increasingly resistant to fire damage. At 1st level, you gain fire resistance 10. At 3rd level this increases to 20, and to 30 at 6th level.

Natural Armour (Ex)
As a Preacher of the Earth's Fury grows closer to the volcanoes that are the source of his power, he transforms to become more like that desolate wilderness. At 2nd level, your skin begins to turn black and hardened, granting a +1 natural armour bonus. At 7th level this natural armour bonus increases to +2, and at 10th level it becomes +4.

Sulphuric Breath (Ex)
At 2nd level, you gain the ability to exhale a cloud of noxious gas as a weapon against your enemies in a 30-foot cone. Affected creatures must make a successful Fortitude*save (DC is 10+ your class level+ your Con modifier), or take a -4 circumstance penalty on*attack rolls, checks and saves for 1 minute (10 rounds) due to fits of coughing and choking. You gain additional uses of this ability at 5th and 8th level.

Burning Magma (Ex)
At 4th level, all your fire spells become infused with volcanic power. Any spell you cast with the [fire descriptor] is flecked with molten lava which clings to the target. If they are damaged by the spell, they take damage again one round later, but only half that damage. So if you cast a Fireball at an enemy and they take 10d6+3 damage, next round they will take 5d6+1 damage. any spell that already deals ongoing damage (such as Wall of Lava deals this ongoing damage for one additional round.

Lava Pit (Sp)
At 5th level, you gain the ability to create a pool of molten lava once per day. This functions as the spell Tar Pool.

Greater Burning Magma (Ex)
At 8th level, the power of your fire spells is further enhanced, as bursts of lava accompany the flames of your spells. The spells continue to deal half damage every round for 1d3 further round (re-roll the damage each round). Spells that already deal ongoing damage still add only one round to the duration.

Pyroclastic Flow (Su)
At 9th level, you can control your Lava Pit to move aggressively against your enemies. Every round, as a free action, you can direct the lava pit to move up to 10 feet. Characters in the lava pit do not move with it. However, any character who is entangled by the lava pit must succeed at an additional reflex save (DC= to that they had to make in the first instance against the power) or be knocked prone. In addition, you gain one additional use per day of the Lava Pit power.

Volcanic Fury (Ex)
At 10th level, your spellcasting and vitality are wholly intertwined with the power of volcanoes. This has several advantages:
You gain the (fire) subtype, becoming immune to fire and vulnerable to cold.
You can use the Burning Spell metamagic feat on up to three spells per day without increasing their spell level.
In addition you constantly count as being within a volcanic area for purposes of the Volcanic Priest ability (so your spells increase their damage dice by one), and you count as a volcanic area for the ability of other Preachers of the Earth's Fury within 30ft. Other dwarves revere you as a Pontiff of Fury, and view you with suitable reverence, fear, and hatred (dependent on the dwarf, his allegiances, and temples).

Hope that was interesting, thanks for sticking with me folks! Looking forwards to all your feedback, good and bad!
