I was looking at the soulknife forming two mind blades and could not tell for sure if it would take one move action for both or a move action for to form each of them.

well at level 5 it should be a free action for both im assuming based on the class rules.

It's a free action (but only once a round).

Technically, it's a free action to manifest your default mind blade, then a full round action to shape it into two. That's 3.5 for you.

This is the correct answer.

I strongly suggest anyone who wants to use Soulknife use the PF version instead. (or the DSP 3.5 version, but they ironed out a few more of the kinks since then.)
