PF Acid Fog Question

Do attended items take the 2d6 damage with no save from Acid Fog (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/a/acid-fog)?

My group is split on the interpretation, so some guidance would be great.

It specifies that it affects objects, fine, but doesn't specify that it's an exception to the usual rule that attended (carried or worn) items aren't affected. By default I'd assume that scenery, doors, dropped items etc are fair game, but but not the magic sword you're swinging or the scroll you're reading from.
