From someone tired of statting multiclassed warrior/expert/rogues for all those bandits and cutpurses...

Thief - NPC class

Hit Die: D6

Class Skills

The thief’s class skills (and the key ability for each skill) are Appraise (Int), Bluff (Cha), Climb (Str), Disguise (Cha), Forgery (Int), Gather Information (Cha), Intimidate (Cha), Knowledge (local) (Int), Sense Motive (Wis) and Sleight of hand (Dex).

Skill Points at 1st Level
(6 + Int modifier) ×4.

Skill Points at Each Additional Level
6 + Int modifier.

Class Features

The following are class features of the thief NPC class.

Weapon and Armor Proficiency
The thief is proficient in the use of all simple weapons, with shortsword, rapier and with buckler.

Sneak attack
Thief's sneak attack works like the similarly named ability of rogue.

I'd do 1d6 every four levels, personally, but that's just 'cause I hate rolling d3's. Good idea otherwise, though. I'd also like to see some flavor behind this guy-like what makes him significantly different from an expert/rouge, which would give you about the same thing anyways.

Am I missing something or are there classes that get six times the normal skill points at first level? Cause otherwise that's a 1-level dip class for all skill addicts out there. Short class skill list be damned.
