New to me equipment

Anyway, not my usual character type. The campaign is low-mid optimization (nearing none at all) and at level 6 in a homebrew campaign setting. I'm using a scout who is about to PrC (dip mostly) into Shadowdancer but the character is basically about stealth/sniping.

No psionics, no ToB, etc. What would be suggestions on other classes to help with that?

Also, a more immediate concern... Equipment! My character has 50 plat, 4,109 gold, and 2 silver. What would be reccomended for me to buy? I got nothing of note right now except a masterwork composite long bow and a cloak of elven kind.

Great items for utility. I especially love the Heartfire for my wizard that doesn't like fire. (He was blinded by it when he was young.)

I recently put together a factotum build, gear and all and posted it here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=14842767&postcount=53).

Might be able to mine it for something useful since Factotum and Scout have somewhat overlapping roles. Scroll down to the Gear Breakdown section.

Would it be too late for my character to take factotum levels? At least for them to be useful to the overall sneaky/snipey role.
