I haven't been able to find a pyromancer class. The closest I've come is Elemental Savant.

That being said, be sure to pick up the Searing Spell feat from Sandstorm, and check Sandstorm and Spell Compendium for a bunch of great fire spells.

Check out this thread (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=275211), posted about 2 hours before yours. It's basically the same thing; building a fire-wizard.

There is Pyrokineticist for psionic classes, perhaps convert him into a psion? Psions are better blasters anyway.

EDIT: Not needed, just any psionic race will do.

5 Nations of Eberron (80% sure) has the Silver Pyromancer PRC. I think it needs turn undead, but you can get that by dipping 1 level of Sacred Exorcist (80% sure its in Comp Divine).

Silver Pyromancer gets to turn ALL fire damage to sacred damage, bypassing DR.

Addendum: even if Psionics was in play, pyrokineticist ist not a caster PRC. It's only good for touch AC long reach tripping (with FIRE!).

Well, there is a pyromancer handbook. I had a digital copy of it on my laptop, before it died. I'll see if I can't find another copy or something. I tried an internet search and couldn't find it. Weird.
Anyway, there's a pyromancer class, does what you want, with some extra SUP and SLA's thrown in. Most of its features are underpowered, but it does get a bitchin familiar, and light armor.

Actually, the best part (or the oddest part) about the Pyrokineticist (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/prestigeClasses/pyrokineticist.htm) is that precisely one ability depends on having power points: Firewalk. Both it and Heat Death require psychic focus, but that can be obtained with the sole power point required to get in. All you really need is a single level in a pp-granting psychic class, a (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/monsters/dromite.htm) race (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/monsters/duergarPsionic.htm) that (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/monsters/elan.htm) grants (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/monsters/halfGiant.htm) bonus (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/monsters/xeph.htm) pp (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/monsters/maenad.htm), or a feat. Yeah, my bad. A psionic race or hidden/wild talent will do. Shoulda looked the PrC up before posting...
