Late breaking news from The Register:

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2013/03/13/heavily_armed_s3x_crazed_dolphins/

This puts me off a scuba diving trip to the Black Sea for the forseeable future.

Great.

As if having to deal with frikken' sharks with frikken' laser beams attached to their heads wasn't bad enough.

Well, the weapons are new. The sexual assault certainly isn't. Quite common with dolphins, as is just general violence for fun.

Edit after reading the article: Oh, they want dolphin mates.

Given that a couple of days ago, it was Adams' birthday, all I can say is "So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish".

Kinda remind me of One King of The Hill Episode where Hank got...:smalleek: by a dolphin.

.

It seems to be inevitable results of intelligence growth. Dolphins, chimps, orangutans, and of course, humans, unmatched in this stuff. Rather scary.

Geez. No, we don't have armed cetacean warriors! Though we do have some nice dophinariums.

Well...not to be picky but there are reports of male dolphins trying to herd human females away from beaches and into deeper water where they're more vulnerable. Perversity is apparently not exclusive to humanity.

That sounds bizarre. Have you got a reference?

It's everywhere. Male dolphins are absolute bastards. They also rape other dolphins and often attack female handlers in aquaria.

False reports. Furthermore, dolphins don't spread scary rumours about humans.
Because they're better than us.

Do you really think they'll spare you when they all march on the land carrying assault rifles in their flippers? :smallannoyed:

I am legitimately afraid of whales. To the point that I avoid the ocean as much as possible.
