Ok, so we're playing a somewhat laid-back, anything goes type campaign. We're running pathfinder, but any 3.5 material is allowed, with re-tweaks as necessary.
I rolled this up as my backup character:
Kitsune (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/uncommon-races/arg-kitsune) Fighter (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/fighter) (Viking (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/fighter/archetypes/paizo---fighter-archetypes/viking)) 4, Paladin (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/paladin) 2, Warshaper (http://therafimrpg.wikidot.com/warshaper) 4
Stat array (roll 2d6+5, +1 at every even level)
14 str, 14 dex, 14 con, 12 int, 8 wis, 16 cha
This is after racial bonuses and extra points, but before rage or morphic body.
20 str, 14 dex, 20 con, 12 int, 8 wis, 18 cha total, excluding rage.

Feats: Fey foundling (+2 hp per die when receiving magical healing), Force of personality (cha in will saves instead of wis), Skill focus (intimidate +6), Extra rage (+6 rounds), Multiattack (secondary naturals at -2), Extra lay on hands (+2/day), Power attack (-3/+6), Dodge (+1 dodge to AC)
Saves: Fort +16, Ref +9, Wil +13
BAB: +9, HP/HD: 100 (4d8+6d10+50), Move: 30', CMB/CMD: +14/26
Gear includes +1 mythril breastplate, +2 buckler, +1 glaive, Belt of the lion (custom, +2 str/con/cha)
Class features: [WS] Morphic weapons (grow nat weapons as move action), Morphic reach (increase reach by 5' at will), Morphic healing (fast healing 2, gain more health as a full-round action), Morphic body (+4 str/con), Morphic immunities (immune to crits and stuns), [Ftr] Shield bonus (+1 to shield's bonus), Fearsome (intimidate as a move action), Rage (total 15 rnds/day), [Pal] Detect evil, Smite evil 1/day (+2 dam, +4 atk and AC), Lay on Hands (total 7/day, 1d6+2 each), Divine grace (add cha to all saves)

Putting it all together: You begin the dungeon or battle prep by growing some natural weapons. 1/limb, give or take a few. Strap on your buckler and grab your polearm. In combat, you rush into the fray, raging and dealing a lot of burst damage with glaive and/or natural weapons. Attack bonuses are +15/+10 with glaive, +14/+12 with naturals. AC is about 18.
When you're starting to get wounded, you drop out of rage and start fighting defensively, using your buckler and letting your fast healing and swift-action LoH patch you up. Your AC jumps to around 27 with a small penalty for fatigue. Attack bonuses with naturals are at about +10, but that's ok because now you're a tank. LoH will heal for 1d6+2 when healing yourself, plus 2 from fast healing. You shouldn't stay down long. Then you rage again and join the fight (assuming it's still going on)
