Does the familiar also get the effect of the a buff if it stays within 5 ft of the caster? (for example casting vigor on me would give us both 5 temporary hp?)

Yes. Yes they do. (Although the psionic version is called a psicrystal, not a familiar.)

Alternatively, if you want your familiar/psicrystal to go further, you can cast it only on them, and then it's not tied to proximity.

About "proximity".. When using Invisibility sphere, because of the proximity issue, you suppose (At least we did) that the group moved simultaneously. Would you allow something similar for a familiar/psicrystal/elemental envoy?

Why not? Especially since most of the time the familiar or psicrystal will be sitting on your shoulder or in your pack as it is.

Well, in the case of the elemental envoy this allows some pretty-powerful builds.. What about Inertial armor/claws of the beast (out of battle) and vigor afterwards. You have a whooping AC for your envoy (especially the terran one), considerable hp and 2 respectable attacks per round. What do you think?

*Shrug* at most, you'll be taking, what, an ACF? to be maybe as good as a bog-standard druid is, and for much the same reasons. Sure, it's powerful, and a useful stunt, but it's not unprecedented, and it's not really crazy broken. (Inertial armor is just augmentable mage armor, for example.)

Basically: yes, you can put some hurt on with this. You're a full manifester, what else would you expect? :smallwink:

No i guess it's not crazy broken but it certainly makes the envoy quite useful ;)

Plus: it works well with the gish wilder build
