Does anyone have any idea on how to homebrew the Random Dice from the Silverclaw Capmaign?

Which SilverClaw campaign? By which I assume you mean SilverClawShift, who posted stories of at least two major campaigns and several shorter ones.

I think the OP is referring to the dice from the Crystal Cantrips campaign which, when rolled, summon a random creature. They're explained in this post (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6280500&postcount=147).

Homebrewing them seems pretty straightforward to me; all the details are there. The difficulty would be pricing them since you can summon a swarm of bunnies just as easily as you can summon a giant tiger. How much detail you need to put into the homebrew depends on what you're using it for. If you're the DM and want to give the item as treasure, just make a list of possible combinations and go for it. If you're a player and want to request or craft the item, then you need to put more work into figuring out the cost and whatnot. I'd base it on the Summon Monster spell, eyeballing the spell and caster level depending on what symbols you put on the dice, and then use this chart (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/magicItems/creatingMagicItems.htm#tableEstimatingMagicItemGol dPieceValues) to estimate. Again, an item like this is difficult since it doesn't fit neatly into one of the categories on the chart.

For those reasons, I'd consider it a minor artifact and call it good. :smalltongue:

OK, OK, I'll stop being lazy. Tomorrow. :smallwink:
