NPC Creation Help.

In this upcoming one shot adventure to merge one group into the storyline of the other, they are assigned to go investigate these ruins of castle, and I plan to have quite a lot of knowledge checks, and for the ones that the party can't do (this group can't but the other group can), I would like a simple scribe to come with him.

Sorta like that cleric type monk dude from Dragonheart. This Guy.

I would like him to be, well pretty much pointless in every regard except for straight knowledge skills. What would you suggest?

Expert. That's what the class is for.

Expert with all ten Knowledge skills (drop one or two useless ones for Spellcraft or whatever if you want) as class skills.

Take Flaws: Inept and Shaky. They now suck at melee and ranged combat, but have extra feats for things like Skill Focus (Knowledge (Whatever)).
