Are there any rules for roller skates?
I would assume that they would be homebrew, but that's better than nothing.
I guess you would have to make regular balance checks, but what about speed, stopping and things like acceleration and momentum?
I assume they would be similar to ice-skating rules but I can't find those either.

No. They do not exist. (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/cw/20061120a)

Argh, Darrin found the Gliding Boots ( https://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/cw/20061120a ) faster, I had to look for quite a while.

Anyway, iceskating rules (such as they are) are exactly where you'd think they'd be, in Frostburn (page 78).

For the sake of completeness, there's also the psionic power Skate (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/psionic/powers/skate.htm).

There's also the Boots of Skating in the MiC, based on the Psionic power.
