The factotum level 1 ability Cunning Insight reads "Before making an attack roll, damage roll, or saving throw, you can spend 1 inspiration point to gain a competence bonus on the roll equal to your Intelligence modifier. Cunning insight does not require an action, and you can use it as often as you wish during your turn or others’ turns—provided that you have the inspiration points to spend. Because this ability provides a competence bonus, it does not stack with itself."

Swashbuckler 3rd level ability Insightful Strike reads "At 3rd level, a swashbuckler becomes able to place her finesse attacks where they deal greater damage. She applies her Intelligence bonus (if any)as a bonus on damage rolls (in addition to any Strength bonus she may have) with any light weapon, as well as any
other weapon that can be used with Weapon Finesse, such as a rapier, whip, or spiked chain. Targets immune to sneak attacks or critical hits are immune to the swashbuckler’s insightful strike. A swashbuckler cannot use this ability when wearing medium or heavy armor or when carrying a medium or heavy load."

Cunning Insight specifies it as a competence bonus, but Insightful Strike does not specify what type of bonus it is. As such I am unsure whether or not these class abilities stack. Does anyone know the answer to this?

Basically, yes. Swashbuckler is untyped, factotum is competence, so they stack.

Stacking (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/theBasics.htm#stacking)
In most cases, modifiers to a given check or roll stack (combine for a cumulative effect) if they come from different sources and have different types (or no type at all), but do not stack if they have the same type or come from the same source (such as the same spell cast twice in succession). If the modifiers to a particular roll do not stack, only the best bonus and worst penalty applies. Dodge bonuses and circumstance bonuses however, do stack with one another unless otherwise specified.
