Hi folks,
I'm a long-time lurker here, but looking through the threads here, I've noticed a distinct lack of a War Thunder thread. To that end, I suppose I'll just have to make one!
So, what is War Thunder? Think World of Tanks...only with airplanes (although tanks and ships are in the works...sound familiar?). Roughly the same business model is in play (free to play/pay for premium and other benefits), so it fortunately doesn't cost anything to try other than some download bandwidth and some time. Also, unlike a lot of flight sims, it utilizes a mouse and keyboard control scheme that simply works wonderfully; you can use a joystick (and in the highest simulation game mode, it is strongly recommended), but the mouse and keyboard is a very competitive option for the more casual (and popular) game modes.
