CRAP! Another one of my experiments escapes its cage! I've told my henchmen a million times steel cages are no good on creatures that can spit a liquid that causes metal to rust! Seriously!

You don't keep fish in cages. That's just silly. I recommend porcelain vats for acid-spitting fish.

Seriously, though, if I ever run a WFRP campaign that is definitely one of the pictures I'm using.

There are tons of campaigns, in which you could use that picture... :smallwink:

It reminds me of the time someone told me about a horrible, rare disease in which you start growing teeth-like material on random parts of your body. I've been too horrified to google it, however.

Biology is freaky. This fish reminds me why I'm afraid of the sea.

That employment tribunal agreed that our members were not at fault and that you provided sub standard cages in incorrect COSHH training!

Anyway, that thing is odd... Any idea why it has those teeth at the back?

It needs a frikkin' laser attached to its head, but it's a start..

My guess? It eats shellfish, so it probably takes the whole oyster or mussle into its mouth and chews with the entire buccal cavity.

Interesting. Would you remember the name of that disease?

Dermoid cyst. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dermoid_cyst)

That's an acceptable number of teeth.

Doens't quite sound like the same. It's a cyst, so the teeth wouldn't be visible from the outside. And they only rarely have teeth. Hair seems to be more common. From the description, I was thinking that there would be teeth growing on the skin, which could exist as a strange developmental disease.

Though these things are certainly quite horrible.

Edit: people with weak stomachs should not google this. Daaamn.

There's a disease that turns all your cartilage into bone. So you gradually grow stiffer, and stiffer, and stiffer... and then you can't move at all.

You know, I'm not all that bothered by this.

I mean, it's a fish. All fish are abominations.

No doubt. A lot of deep sea critters are like something out of nightmares. Frankly, the extra teeth look like so much corn on the cob to me. It's weird, but there is weirder. Heck, even the common flounder is pretty weird, though not nightmarishly so, having both its eyes on one side of its body.

Actually, the position of the eye can change. Sometimes, it's both on one side, sometimes, it's one each.

Generally, from what I understand, it starts out 'normal' when young, but their eyes shift position as they mature. Still, it's plenty freaky.

Maybe Shou Tucker had a fish and another daughter we didn't know about.
