My plans for the next session....

Ok so I have an idea for my next session with my party. We are in a pathfinder map but not rules. We are facing drows and i had an idea. I get the elves to give me 1000 gold and i make a bunch of alchemists fire potions. Then i cast fly on my friends and we bomb the drows from the sky! i dont even need to because i can shoot spells. We are all level 7. We are as followed. Cleric,Gunslinger,Rogue,Wizard (me), Barbarian and a ranger 4/gunslinger 3.
Think I will be allowed?

Are you expecting to fight the drow outdoors?

Indoors with a high ceiling?

Somewhere they can't find cover?

Somewhere they can't return fire?

Know they don't have anyone who knows Resist Element?

Try to have a Plan B. Just in case.

There seem to be some problems with this plan.

1. Alchemist's fire doesn't do much damage, it's going to take you a long time to kill the drow with it.
2. Fly is a 3rd level, single-target spell. You can probably only cast 3 3rd-level spells per day at level 7, and you have six people in your party.
3. Also keep in mind that drow frequently have spellcasters of their own, and they will probably have bows too, so they'll still be able to hurt you even if you're flying.

I'm kind of curious how you're pulling that off. Do you have scrolls of fly or something?

Are you sure you're doing your math right? The base allotment of 3rd level spells per day for a 7th level wizard is 2. It seems pretty impossible that you'd have an int bonus of 40+ at 7th level.

Even if you were playing a focused specialist so you got 4 as a base, you'd still need a 24+ Int, which is quite a stretch for a 7th level character (though barely doable)

.... What? Anyway i just leveled up to 8th and my plan wont work cause we are away from the elves and they didnt have the components.

You're doing your math wrong, you should have three fly spells.
