Looking for a small monster with 12 RHD

Pretty much as it says on the tin,

preferably an Animal, Humanoid, Plant or Vermin, however Fey, Giant and Monstrous Humanoid are are also acceptable alternatives.

I'm trying to create a BBEG's lab experiment if you will by using the symbiote template to graft a smaller creature to a captured (and quite unwilling) party member.

The host is large so anything Small or below is acceptable.

I am aware that the 12RHD of the guest wont transfer over to the host but thankfully, they don't need to.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have only one suggestion ... my memory served me right:

Redcap, Elder (Monster Manual III, p. 138-139) -> 12 HD chaotic evil small fey.

It lacks a decent range atttack, but maybe there are templates for that if you want one.
