~20, but only because you warned me to try holding back. Had I been shown that unawares I probably would have grinned immediately.

IMO, or you smile immediately (), or you don't smile at all...

It's easy without the music. With the music, it's basically impossible for me.

I got bored after 90 seconds of watching it. didn't smile or laugh the entire time. Not really that cute. More annoying/irritating then anything.

I didn't need to smile or laugh at it but I did move my head and feet to the beat.

I didn't laugh or smile. At all.

The internet has desensitized me!

Also, the music didn't play.

...There is music?

It starts about 3 seconds in.

about 5 seconds, after I allowed the music to load up (yay no script). Without music, didn't smile.

Cool music. Need to see if I can find it. Although at the moment I've just got it in the background.

About seven seconds. The music with the video is just hilarious

That music is really catchy.
@Castaras: If you do find it, could you post a link?

Alas, no signs of laughter.

Hey, cool, there are links (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/buckycubes-swing-baker-cat/id578276619) at the bottom for "Song".

Man, this cat has got it COVERED!

I'm feeling so groovy now, thanks OP. Gonna listen to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy the rest of the day.

Turned it off after 40 seconds because I was bored of waiting for the funny thing to turn up...

I didn't, probably because I am the living incarnation of Grumpy Cat.

5 seconds.

I'm not ashamed to smile at adorable cats.

Deepbluediver

It's mildly humorous, but I think it would have been better if the cat eventually did something else.

It wasn't so funny that I couldn't keep from laughing or anything like that. I wanted to smile for about the first 10 seconds, but then it wore off.

Also, FYI: I think the music starts repeating every 1:52 or so.

I've had it playing in the background for about 15 minutes now; it's a wonderful little earworm. :smallcool:

I'm more interested in the music. Does anyone know what song that is? Also 34.7 seconds.

I didn't, probably because I am the living incarnation of Grumpy Cat.

Wouldn't Grumpy Cat be the living incarnation of Grumpy Cat? Pretty sure he's still alive...

Anyhow, yeah, I'm not terribly prone to smiling, and the music's actually starting to get quite annoying and tick me off, leading to the opposite of smiling/laughter...

Got bored after one iteration of the music. Being warned made it trivial to get through the whole thing straight-faced - without warning, I might have cracked in the first few seconds, though after that I would have been safe.

This is awesome.

I only lasted like 18 seconds or so. Still, every time I look at it again, I chuckle.

The music is pretty schweet. :smallcool:

I liked the music, but telling me anything to the effect of "try not to smile" pretty much guarantees I'll end up doing it within 5 seconds. The fact that you "prepped" me made it virtually impossible for me not to smile a little.

I made it about 5 seconds before the absurdity of it made me smile a little.

Gamerlord
2013-03-29, 09:40 PM
Well, sixty seconds so far, and no smiles. The music is pretty good though, it would probably make me smile/laugh if it was attached to a funnier image.

No...is it required that we feel cool or somehow superior? Because I must have missed that memo.

This just says "Act as superior as bees." ... What does that even mean?

Without music: 106 seconds. I started to crack around 20 seconds, but was able to stop myself. AFter that, it was pretty easy not to laugh.
With music: 64 seconds.

She (Tardar) is still alive, I'm just her avatar of grumpiness, the harbinger of our holiest cat of grumpiness. It's awful... :smallannoyed:

180 seconds before I stopped wasting my time with something so boring and pointless. even with music.

didn't smile.

7.2 seconds for the actual video, but I was kinda already smiling before it started at the thought of the experiment, so maybe 0 seconds?

122.7, but only because I missed the intro to the song; when that came up again I couldn't help but grin like an idiot.

105 seconds before the music started to grate on my nerves so badly that I closed the tab.

I am familiar with Pusheen, so I didn't smile. It wasn't funny, so I didn't laugh. The music was catchy, but catchy music is not enough to make me smile.

Laughed around a minute in from unrelated reasons. Other than that, I lasted one iteration of the song, then closed it.

I lasted about 40 seconds and that was after a really ******** day.

Slipperychicken

240 seconds before I got bored and closed it when the first loop ended. I could have gone all night... let's just say this hasn't been a good week for me. Also, I played similar music (Sing Sing Sing, specifically) back in high school.

Part of me felt more depressed while thinking about the pointlessness of the exercise. Good music though.

EDIT: No, I don't feel cool about not laughing. Just sad.

Does making a "WTF face" count as smiling? 'Cuz I did that shortly after the music started. I watched for about forty seconds. Catchy music, but the image was boring.

Lorsa
2013-04-07, 01:37 AM
That music seems like it could get stuck in my head something horrible if I listen too it for too long.

Could I keep myself from smiling? Yes.
Do I feel cool for it? No.

The only tihng that is guaranteed to make me laugh is tickling.
