I made this NPC with addition of homebrew Cleric domain. I'd appreciate some opinions/flaws being pointed out in this guy. The general idea is for him to spam two Entangle spells, then attmpt to Hold whichever enemy he deems best to cast Hold Person on, once he burns these, he buffs his fellows or himself. If he has time to prep up, he buffs firsts, then casts Entangle, etc.

He gets two potions of lvl 3 or less and mundane equiptment.

thanks

Serpent Magic domain

Prerequisites: Pray to the Serpent, promote Serpents’s agenda

Granted power: Once per day, you can cast one spell as quickened without the quickened spell using up a spell slot four levels higher than the spell’s actual level.

1 – Giant reptiles (as enlarge person, reptiles only)
2 – Hypnotic Pattern
3- Snake Rune (as Explosive Runes, acid dmg instead of force dmg)
4 – Magic circle against non-reptiles
5- Swarming snakes (as Black tentacles, 1d8+6 constrict dmg added to normal Balck tentacles effects )

Looks good to me - just as long as all the antagonistic lizardfolk are male.

You could incorporate the tribe, if that's what you were going for - women are generally the trophy wives, dull, not too strong, but pretty as all hell. There may be one or two feeding this cleric grapes and shining his skin before your party meets him.
