You're right, that one's more likely to be it. Considering suggestion is used other times in the comic and does normally cause swirly eyes.

There are many many threads that exist all over the board, and the volunteer moderation staff does not read every single post. There are quite a few threads which seem like games that aren't, or seem like they are not but are, which the moderators may not have noticed or examined completely yet.

Remember, we rely on you, the people of this board, to report anything which you think might be in the wrong place.

I agree with moving these threads to the "game" section in theory, but the problem I have is that they have one major difference with the other games on here: they actually involve OOTS.

I think there should be a subforum for "OOTS-related games". The quiz, the death pool, the being thread and the dozens of tournament threads could be put there.

I know this isn't the place to suggest this, but what is? Should I PM a mod or something?

Bird
2013-08-21, 09:08 PM
A nice thing about having OotS "game" threads in the main OotS forum is that they bring lurkers out of hiding (such as myself.) If this stuff were all in the games forum, I might never have joined the forums.

On the other hand, it's good that the move forced me to take a look at the games forum, too.

Anyway, back to the quiz!

I would be quite shocked to discover that no previous mods have ever noticed this thread. (I'd even be shocked to discover no mods have ever posted in it!)

I argue for re-inclusion in the OotS forum, rather than the Silly Games forum.

It is explicitly an OotS thread, and links to the comic constantly.

Find me a character who appears in exactly three panels in one strip, is frowning in the first and last panel, and is smiling in the second.

Does this character only ever appear in this strip? or just appears in this strip 3 times and has certian facial expressions? It seems to me that this could occur in more than three strips if it's the later, and so breaking the "no more that three strips" rule. It just seems a little too vague, even if you specified because of the facial expressions.

Find the two biggest magical dweomers ... in the comic.

Just pointing out that this type of question is not permitted under rule 11

11) Questions along the lines of "when was the first time X happened/was mentioned" are not allowed because to prove that they never happened before, one would have to link to every strip before it, which is unreasonable and would break the no-more-than-three-strips rule.

'Find the biggest X' questions fall into the same category. We'd have to check every page to prove it's the biggest.
