I am planning out a few fun little options involving: A) Mouthpick weapons B) A wizard with melee survivability who could easily cast master's touch any time he needs it and/or C) Practiced weapons from complete arcane.
All of these offer one free proficiency with weapons that likely would not be otherwise worth spending a feat. So. How do I have fun with this? (I might attach morphing to one or more of these, so conditionally useful weapons would be gladly accepted submissions).
Thus far, I have come up with:
Reach weapons (specifically, a spiked chain), halfling skipping stones (and/or a war sling), and repeating crossbows.
