So I got into a bit of a competition with a couple friends, one that is to make mage that specializes in one area of magic and takes a prestige class that is for another specialist (though not really ONLY for the other type of mage).
My Wizard (necromancer)/IotSfV won mostly due to the role playing I think.
I decided to actually buid this out for a 1-20 game (that won't happen since I'm starting at level 10 and going to 20) and I decided on the race to be a Strongheart Halfling. However I'm not sure what to round out the build with, it isn't like I really need more versatility or power... But something fun is what I need.
So here he is!A perky happy little guy who specialize in non evil necromancy spells (though will have some evil...) who won't be raising dead anytime soon.
Wizard (necromancer) 9/ Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil 7/ Other Class 4.
Starting Level: 10
Banned Schools: Enchantment and Evocation
Stats
w/ reduce person and three +6 magic items (we get higher starting gold)
Str: 4 (not a fan of this... but... yeah reduce person comes with a -2 Str)
Dex: 24
Con: 20
Int: 24
Wis: 8
Cha: 6
Feats
Halfling: Collegiate Wizard
Flaw 1: Spell Focus (Abjuration)
Flaw 2: Skill Focus (Spell Craft)
Wizard 1: Scribe Scroll
Wizard 5:
Level 1: City Slicker (Necromancers aren't liked, even if they aren't the ones raising the dead... Got to stay in disguise)
Level 3: Greater Spell Focus (Abjuration)
Level 6: Eyes to the Sky (People will try to keep tabs on a necromancer via magic...)
Level 9: Spell Mastery
I may take Diversified Casting (Evocation) later to get contingency and a couple other good evocation spells.
Just for the hell of it (fun times) this character will have a permanent reduce person on him and will have overland flight cast 1/day when needed or perhaps just cast Phantom Steed for hilarity sake...
Anyways where I'm coming into a bit of a jam is what to do after my prestige class, I could really use a fun or crazy 4 levels to really tie this guy together.
Another thing is that dang ole level 5 feat, I'm not a huge fan of item creation feats so that leaves metamagic feats or spell mastery...
Empowered Shivering Touch sounds a bit tasty, specially with celerity in my back pocket....
(note, a friend of mine just said he wanted to use this in a one shot so now I won't be the only one using this :p)
Any help will be appreciated :)
