So, I'm gutting out an adventure from Dungeon magazine (Issue 100, If anyone cares), involving a stronghold on a giant beasts back.

I need to give my ranger some time to shine, He's a ranged specialist and I figured (By fluffing the giant beast undead, and the majority of the conflict inside of it) that wide open areas with difficult to transverse platforms would be the way to go for him.

The dungeon layout is fine, the end game is solid, but I want a reason for people to not want to stay close to the workers in this stronghold (They aren't necessarily warriors, The beast itself is the siege weapon, they are there for basic upkeep and repairs).

Obvious tactics include very painful close combat, Bull rushing off percarious ledges and such, but given the Devil Lord Magnys's penchant for mechanics, Magitech robotics and grafts (think something like the movie "Virus"), I'd like to have it really show and shine for the adventure.

I was thinking of a powering up saw blade industrial worker, where each round added D6 damage (as it charges up in power) until it hit something (Probably capping at 4d6 and then going to just touch attack from there).

Maybe some non-combatant mini-bots that just invade spaces and repair damage on the baddies, while pitifully trying to weld the goodies?

I also like the idea of an overseer type, a giant snake like convolution that just fluidly rolls across the map. Maybe some kind of MC ability if he coils around them (as though snakes and mind control hadn't been played to death) Assimilating the PCs at least temporarily.

Although, he may just simply have an aura of courage type deal, as one of my players does have a few means to stack fear effects.

TL;DR
I'm looking for some Magitech, industrial style factory worker minions to over flow a large, controlled environment and have officially run dry on evocative ideas for such.

All help appreciated in advance!
