Low magic and incorporeal

Would allowing cold iron weapons to have a chance at hitting an incorporeal ghost as magic weapons in a low magic campaing be okay? I think it fits the lore of iron being able to dissipate ghosts and such.


EDIT: idea is for an e6 campaign if that helps any.

Are you saying low magic as in the PC's don't/won't have many magic weapons or is it that the PC's don't have many caster because there is a 1st level spell called Magic Weapon that can be used to deal with the Incorporeal.

more towards items than character nerfs but the idea is for an e6 campaign if that has any effect on it.

Just let them get serrenwood items. Nonmagical ghost touch. (I think it's from Eberron, technically, but not sure, and it doesn't seem especially unique or iconic, unlike soarwood or whatever.)
