Android Text Message Export/Archive

Does anyone know of any way to archive or export text message logs from a phone? My girlfriend has a few that need to be saved for various reasons. Preferably some way that saves the sender and time-stamp information? I've looked made a cursory look through the app store, but nothing really stands out to me.

Pretty sure you can just snatch them up from the file system somewhere, no app required. Is her phone rooted?

You don't want an app, you want a program on your computer. Google "copying texts from phone to computer" and you will get a load of freeware tools.

I've just opened my own phone via a USB, and whilst I can grab images etc. the text messages are not available through this route. So you probably do need a tool.
