Masterwork Mundane?

Is it possible to craft a masterwork (and up) item or tool based on mundane equipment....like a crowbar, or torch, or bottle?

would crafting them give it more, or lend it more of a bonus towards what it does. like a masterwork torch that would give off more of a light radius and last longer?
