Four armed Totemist question

So if you're playing a race that already has four arms, and four claw attacks, what happens when you bind the Girillion totem? the one that gives you 4 claw attacks? Do you get 4 more, 2 more as would be for a 2 armed race, or does nothing happen?

The rules text assume you only have two arms to start, hence the gain four claws thing. But if you read the flavor text it says "you sprout two additional arms". So it gives you two new arms with two new claws, and if your existing arms don't already have claws, two of them get claws for a total of four. As a thri kreen since you already have claws on your natural four arms, you wind up with 6 arms and 6 claws, with the option on two of your arms of using either natural claws or girallon claws, girallon prob superior after essentia investment.
