Ways to get always on speak with animals?

I am thinking of getting a warbeast dire lion, and I'd like to be able to direct it a bit more specifcally than handle animal can do.

What's out there?

Is Awaken Animal an option? It'd only be that animal, but they automatically get one of the caster's languages known.

Take the Call of the Beast invocation from CMage
Wild Empathy — meh
Speak with Animals

Also, a Pearl of Speech might work, depending on your DM.

You should be able to. Or a cleric of Nature Deity Here, given temples are usually pretty keen on donations.
