Hey guys,

Just have a quick question, if a Primalist (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/wizard/archetypes/paizo---wizard-archetypes/primalist) wants to be a Infernal Binder (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/wizard/arcane-schools/paizo---arcane-schools/classic-arcane-schools/conjuration/infernal-binder) at level 7 does he still gain the Improved Familiar/Imp? Because it doesn't actually say what happens if you don't have a Familiar.

Edit: And for that matter, what if you are not Lawful Evil? It states in Improved Familiar you need to have compatible alignment, but if you are Chaotic Neutral etc etc, you are not compatible...

I'd say that since for the Infernal Binder, you're required to have Arcane Bond and have chosen a Familiar, if you chose a Wizard archetype without arcane bond as an option, you don't meet the requirements for the class.

That said, you could make an end run around that by taking Eldritch Heritage: Arcane and taking the Familiar Arcane Bond there.

Infernal Binder has a Requirement of "Requirements: An infernal binder must choose a familiar as her arcane bond at 1st level."

Edit: And for that matter, what if you are not Lawful Evil? It states in Improved Familiar you need to have compatible alignment, but if you are Chaotic Neutral etc etc, you are not compatible...

It also has a requirement of "Alignment: Lawful Evil, Lawful Neutral, Neutral Evil, or Neutral."

No Familiar, no Infernal Binder.
Wrong Alignment, no Infernal Binder.

So a neutral Sloth Wizard can be an Infernal Binder right?

Good idea or bad idea? Its for rise of the rune lords
