So folks, I know there are many different monsters with different ACs and Fort/Ref/Will values, and a character could optimize his "to-hit" and "damage" numbers through the roof, but is there any kind of "expected number" ?
For example: a xth level <non-casting class> should have about +x to hit and deal about <xxx> damage/turn if this is he has committed to it.
and I ask the same of expected AC for a given melee combatant. How much should he have to stay on par with the system expectancies at a given level?
Mostly, I'm talking about monsters and non-optimized npcs (that is, a guard, a highway robber, and so on...)
