[3.5] Roguing up a Beguiler

Hey all,

Looking for ideas on how to get Sneak Attack, Evasion and an improved BAB on a Beguiler without losing (too many) caster levels?

I'm guessing cherry picking PrCs, ToB maneuver feats and a Ring of Evasion are the best options?

I'd like to do this without dipping Rogue, thanks.

Dip a level of either Spellthief or Psychic Rogue (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20040723b), to freely use Wands or Dorjes of any spells or powers that the class would get access to. Spellthief gets you every Sorcerer/Wizard spell of the abjuration, divination, enchantment, illusion, and transmutation schools. Psychic Rogue gets exactly what you see on the tin, but also enables psionic feats like Up The Walls. Definitely make sure you can use a Wand of Wraithstrike to make up for your poor BAB, preferably in a wand chamber of a weapon, whether via Spellthief or UMD.

Go Spellthief or Psychic Rogue 1/ Beguiler 4/ Unseen Seer + Arcane Trickster 15

Don't forget about Obtain Familiar + Improved Familiar (Imp, Quasit, or Pseudodragon). With Psychic Rogue you could also get a Psicrystal, whose strength is based on character level rather than a manifester level.

A Skillful weapon would let you use a better attack bonus, costing only gold. (If you're looking to use it for ranged weapons or Rays, that won't help you).

Pick up Hunters Eye with Unseen Seer's Advanced Learning for 4d6 + 1d6 per 3 Caster Levels SA.

With Psychic Rogue you could also get a Psicrystal, whose strength is based on character level rather than a manifester level.

The HD and therefor the feats the Psicrystal gets are based on HD of the Master. The other benefits are based on the level in all psionic classes.
With just one Level Psychic Rogue you would get a Psicrystal but aside from the basics don't expect anything too amazing from it (especially because you can't get mindsight).
