Question on formatting and posting class variants

Yes, it's a newb question, and appropriately so. I'd like to know if there are templates to use for formatting before posting character class variants, and if such material is more appropriate to post in this forum, or in the Homebrew forum. TIA for any helpful enlightenment :)

From what I know, people around here use tables a lot, like this:

Nice...vaguely reminiscent of html coding, so no problems there. Thanks! How about descriptive text formatting? Is it simply a matter of following the format of the core rulebooks?
