I was wondering if there was a feat or anything that got you extra inspiration points? After all 10 is cool and all, but at level 20 it is also not enough.

There is (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/frcc/20070606) (scroll down a ways). Font of Inspiration is pretty much the best feat for Factotums to take.

And thats what I was looking for but could not find. Thank you.
As a human I could thus have a total of
1st level feat (Font of inspiration 1)
Human feat (FoI 2)
Flaw 1 (FoI 4)
Flaw 2 (FoI 8)
3rd level (FoI 16)
6th level (FoI 32)
9th level (FoI 64)
12th level (FoI 128)
16th level (FoI 256)
20th level (FoI 512)

Thats a lot of inspiration points and could actually be quite useful. I may have to use just that build in a game XD. I sneak attack you for a million damage your turn.

I think you'd be better off trading some of your FoIs for things like Martial Study, Craven, and Power Attack for some things to actually do with your inspiration points.

Yea probably just had to laugh at how much you could actually get. Add power attack.

You've read the feat wrong, it doesn't scale like that. It would go

1st level feat (Font of inspiration 1)
Human feat (FoI 3)
Flaw 1 (FoI 6)
Flaw 2 (FoI 10)
3rd level (FoI 15)
6th level (FoI 21)
9th level (FoI 28)
12th level (FoI 36)
16th level (FoI 45)
20th level (FoI 55)

So no triple-digits. Still alot of Inspiration though.

Also: You can only take this feat a number of times equal to your Int-modifier.
With two flaws and being human this number should be reached fast depending on the generosity of your DM. :D

Human with 18 starting Int, +4 over levels, +5 tome, +6 enhancement bonus caps out at...

+11 ability modifier. You should have no problem taking it at every possible level.

Also, for cheese applications dip a level of cloistered cleric for travel and knowledge devotions and the freedom domain power, and carry a wand of nerveskitter.

Now you go first in combat due to nerveskitter, and you burn inspiration points and a pair of turn attempts to gain 2 move actions and as many standard actions as you need to kill every target within reach of any two points on the battlefield.

Yes it should. Especially saying my DM is very nice to us.

And not as many as I hoped for but still better then 10.

I dont have much to add but I concur with Rubik.
You can do something more interesting than just FoI up; especially if working within a party.

No I am working to kill a party member, I am the handy dandy Finster from the orginal power rangers creating putties and monsters for Rita, I mena my DM, to try to kill us with. We have a person that wants to use out of allowed sources stuff so she has to kill something that is out of source. Thus I need to make a level 12 factotum that can counter a warlock that mostly uses FtS and a version of freezing fog in almost every combat that is also immune to acid damage.

The bonus doesn't scale linearly, and neither do the feats. With a feat distribution of 1, 1, 1, 1, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, half of them are taken before the character hits level 3. Unless the character has a starting Intelligence of 20 and uses all his money to get a Headband ASAP, he cannot take FoI as his 3rd or 6th level feats.

It could be possible with an application of the retraining rules to retroactively qualify due to outside modifiers like tomes and headbands.

This would be pure cheese though, and I wouldn't suggest it for anything other than TO.

Don't forget to dedicate yourself to an elder evil to fill in the 11th font. Nothing like selling your soul for class features!
