HellBreed Into a Evil PRC?

I think HellBreed race, from Codex II, has a lil bit of fun that lets it use things of the evil descriptor without actually needing to be evil.


Could this also apply to PRC's that require you to be evil, and skirt that requirement and play it as a stolen power?

Rule 0: The rulebooks are just highly tentative suggestions, the DM and players are ultimately in control. If it is agreed that that is a Super Cool Idea™, which it is, then it will work, as well it should :smallbiggrin:

Certainly, rule 0 says that you can do anything you want, if you and the DM agrees on it.

As written, though, a non-Evil aligned hellbred could NOT enter an evil-only prestige class.

The hellbred's Evil Exception ability is pretty explicit about what it lets you do: you can cast spells with the [Evil] descriptor without risking an alignment shift, and you can wield evil magic items (such as an unholy longsword) without gaining negative levels. Unfortunately, that's it.
