So my little brother has announced that he would like to run a campaign and asked me what kind of character is like to play in it

I asked him briefly if I could play an awakened fox character and he oked it. Not married to playing this as a character but I'm toying with what class I would make him if I do

Because I'm an uncreative mook I immediately thought to make the character a beguiler or sorcerer to play off the trickster fox archetype

Can you guys think of any other classes that might be fun to play him as?

My group isn't super into optimization but strong additions to our parties are always appreciated

All pathfinder and 3.5 material is open to use

If you're using Pathfinder you could go with the Kitsune (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/races/other-races/uncommon-races/arg-kitsune) for a race. There is a feat called Fox Shape (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/feats/general-feats/fox-shape) that will let the character be a fox.

Beguiler (Handbook (http://www.minmaxboards.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=9488ls1ogds04rl823oa8veku4&topic=363)) is a decent option for a trickster type caster.

The Cryptic (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/cryptic) (Dreamscarred Press, Pathfinder Psionics) with the Distorter (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/psionics-unleashed/classes/cryptic/archetypes/dreamscarred-press/distorter) archetype might be another class option.

Being that he is a Awakened animal perhaps he decided to follow in the Druids footsteps. You could take natural spell which should help u cast while in a fox body. You can then either be a Druid/Wiz and move into the Arcane Hierphant and take a fox companion that would get a int boost and you 2 could be comrades or something lol.

Or I could have the Warlock and move towards a Chaotic Neutral Mindbender.
Who is gonna suspect that the fox around someone's next is actually controlling the person lol.

That tiny size is begging for a sneaky character. Rogue could be fun.
