Good day to you, Fellow Playgrounder,

I have been looking for a book that works on a space opera kind of setting. One that works on the d20 system too. Does such a thing exist?

Well, one aside from the star wars d20, that is.

Thank you for your support.

Star Wars Saga Edition seems to fit nicely.

Otherwise I read some good stuff about Spelljammer but I don't know anything out of my own experience.

Eclipse Phase? And I think there's some stuff for d20 Modern (d20 Future?)

The mechanics of Saga Edition utterly nailed the "Space Opera" feeling, even if you use it for a setting other than Star Wars. It's just so... cinematic.

I'll look into all of your suggestions. Thank you all.

However, what I want to do is to get a system and create a Mass Effect setting based on it. Has anyone tried that before?

There is also a d20 version of Traveller, aka T20.
Traveller is a space opera game with rich history and lots of external resources.

I've seen a mass effect set of rules based on West End Games' D6 system.

D20 Modern/Future, Starwars Saga Edition, in an indirect way BESM d20 and Silver Age Sentinels d20 even if they're more focus orientated, and seconding the Traveller d20. I don't know of any others that would fit.
