Wilder+ shifter equals what?

I have heard that shifter gets some nice things for wilder, how exactly does it work out (( I don't own the book , but am not looking for cut and paste facts either, just knowledge))

Looks like the main thing would be the racial sub level for Wilder 1, which lets you choose powers from the Egoist list without having to blow an Expanded Knowledge feat on them (although you might anyways, because Wilder's Powers Known limit is really painful.) Gives you superior access to some psionic staples like Hustle and Metamorphosis. The other two sub levels are kind of nice, but nothing huge.
