Hello all,

Just wondering, if you take the Spellbinder Archetype, which removes your Wizard's Arcane Bond, then at level 3 take Eldritch Heritage with the Arcane bloodline, and gain a arcane bond, is it still useful if you select an item?

Arcane Bond (Su): At 1st level, you gain an arcane bond, as a wizard equal to your sorcerer level. Your sorcerer levels stack with any wizard levels you possess when determining the powers of your familiar or bonded object. Once per day, your bonded item allows you to cast any one of your spells known (unlike a wizard’s bonded item, which allows him to cast any one spell in his spellbook). This ability does not allow you to have both a familiar and a bonded item.

The bolded part makes me think it is not, and it's a better idea to take the familiar, or, you know, not try and make a build around it.

Also, can a Half Elf be a Spellbinder, as they count as elves...?

The ability you gain from Eldritch Heritage is the sorcerer's version of Arcane Bond, not the wizards', so unless you somehow have a 'spell known' I think it wouldn't work well for you.

& yes, unless there are in-world reasons why not you should be able to make a half-elf spellbinder.
