Hey gang. In the next session of my current campaign, the party are going to be venturing into the volcano-side temple of Valuk, a Dwarf Wizard who lived seven millenia ago, give or take a century. I've been scouring Traps and Treachery for suitable traps, puzzles, encounters etc, but I haven't come up with much. So far I have a room with seven levers and a riddle that tells you which one will let you progress, and which will harm you; a chasm with lava coursing at the bottom with an invisible bridge (Or I might change that room to a bridge that rotates 180 degrees when people are on it to try and throw them off, and therefore have a more forgiving drop); a room with floating gems representing the stars and a stone representing the sun hidden from the rest, light the "sun" and open the path; and a door with five dragon statue where you have to put the right gemstones in the right dragons to pass. And of course, the boss fight with the Wizard himself (A tempered version, of course).

From there, I can't really think of any more interesting encounters. Combat tends to slow the pace of the game a lot, but I'm open to it if there's a monster suitable for a party of 6 level 8 adventurers that could have survived for 7000 years. So hit me, guys. Dwarven puzzles, interesting traps, whatever you think might fit here, hit me.

If it helps, the party are a Warlock/Scout, a Spellthief, a Warlock NPC, a Rogue/Warmage NPC, a Fighter that specialises in lassoing enemies to him and then attacking, and an unknown (probably a Dwarf-something, knowing the player).
