View Full Version : Dragonstalker and depriving the dex bonus

Just a small question, I'm playing a Dragonstalker and the Dragon Sneak Attack unfortunately doesn't mention that the ability works when flanking, only when the target dragon is deprived of the Dex Bonus. So my question is, what are some ways to deprive the dex bonus?

I figure down a potion of invisibility would be good. But what else?

ermm... don't dragons have blindsight?

because making it so they cannot see you is generally the best way to do it (invisibility, blinding spells, concealment, cover)

Do all dragons have it? But regardless, DragonStalkers have an ability to ignore Blindsense once a day.

Also, just so I don't have to make another thread and this sort of relates, I found the feat Deadeye Shot (PH2 78), which allows the person with the feat to ready an action for when an ally attacks the target, and uses that moment of distraction to fire a shot that deprives the target of their dex bonus.

Does it just require a physical attack, or can it be any sort of attack, including being hit by a spell?

there's a difference between blind sense and blind sight
most dragons have blind sense which lets them know what square your in but they would still be flat footed.

blind sight is the one that is as good as normal eyes and would negate invisibility
