at the title implies, I noticed this odd symbol in a post today, and haven't been able to figure out the meaning of .

It occurred because whatever Roland was using to post at the time failed to parse his wishes.

U+EF01 is a private use character, so it's probably some sort of weird glitch. Transmission error, maybe.

That should give you some idea. I have no idea what script that is, if any. Most fonts seem to render it as an acute accent with no supported glyph underneath.

It's definitely not something registered on the Conlang Script unicode ranges.

Well, if that's the character in question, it means "before", and is pronounced "sen" (as in "sensei").
