I'm trying to think of ways a high-level melee Cleric can demolish a tower (either commissioned or outright constructed by him) within a few rounds with little if any preparation for the specific task at hand. The tower can be of any shape and material, but it must be really, really tall and it must comfortably accommodate a collection of followers.

Can it be done?

Have a bomb built in to it, it's location known only to the cleric?

The miracle spell can do virtually anything, but that's very high level.

Disintegrate a primary load-bearing beam.

Shrink Item shenanigans with overland flight.

Step 1)Have it made out of stone.
Step 2)Use stone shape on the base to take out a wedge.
Step 3)Tower falls over.
Step 4)...
Step 5)Profit.

If you have a domain for it: Mud to stone(build it out of this stone then dispel it) or Stone to Mud can do it.

Earthquake specifically can collapse buildings as well. A tall Tower that wasnt earthquake proofed is arguably extra vulnerable to the spell.

high level, you say?

Structure

Any structure standing on open ground takes 100 points of damage, enough to collapse a typical wooden or masonry building, but not a structure built of stone or reinforced masonry. Hardness does not reduce this damage, nor is it halved as damage dealt to objects normally is. Any creature caught inside a collapsing structure takes 8d6 points of bludgeoning damage (Reflex DC 15 half) and is pinned beneath the rubble (see below).

two castings should DEFINITELY do the trick (unless, as the quote states, they are uber-towers)

Alternately:
Have a stone tower
Use stone shape on the base to take out a narrow wedge
Tower leans over
???
Profit! (From tourism.)

Brillient!

All clerics must go into tourism. Then they can stop asking adventurers to pay for resurrections
