[PF] Modifying constructs or Being Ironman

I was recently shown the Construct Armor modification (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/building-and-modifying-constructs) and I want to build a character around that. I'm coming to the Playground, because I don't know how to be effective at doing that, as the armor modification costs 35,000 gp on top of the golem itself. My best guess is to start with Soul Forger (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/magus/archetypes/paizo---magus-archetypes/soul-forger) Magus (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/base-classes/magus), but I'm open to any advice the Playground has to offer.

I play 3.5 myself, so I'm not sure how relevant this advice will be, but this is what I think

Add the armour thing to a puzzle golem (from the war dragon magazine, sorry, I know I am terrible at sourcing my stuff)
then, give it an at will unlimited fly ability
get a glove of scorching ray (at will) or maybe two
get an amulet of once per day maximized fireball or some such.

This gives you his chest blast, his hand lasers, the flying, the armour suit.
It also gives you a suit that can break down into smaller pieces, then fly towards you and reassemble when called/needed

Have you considered the Synthesist Summoner or an Aegis? Aegis even has an archetype that's going to be in Ultimate Psionic that is totally Ironman inspired (http://dreamscarredpress.com/dragonfly/ForumsPro/viewtopic/t=2545.html).

Is Dream Scarred Press 3rd party? My GM is not really a fan of 3rd party stuff, although he would likely allow it if some of their material made it into a 1st party book.

Unfortunately my GM hates homebrew, otherwise I'd try to convince him to allow one of those two. I think it has something to do with potential balance issues, so I might be able to, assuming the classes don't overshadow the other party members.

Also, a small part of me just wants to use and abuse the modifying constructs rules, although I recognize that it's probably so expensive that you can't really abuse it.
