I wish to do 20th level base class based around 4 types of martial arts and elemental bending, a concept loosely based on Avatar: TLA.
my goal is to make a four levels of bending for each school, each with maybe a half dozen at-will (more or less) abilities involved with each level. some dealing with the more mundane and some dealing with the truly extraordinary feats of bending.

We could come up with our own, and borrow from numerous spells to build up a decent list of abilities for each type.

The show's creators based each bending style on an existing martial art, leading to clear visual and physical differences in the techniques used by Waterbenders (T'ai chi ch'uan), Earthbenders (Hung Ga kung fu, for the most part), Firebenders (Northern Shaolin kung fu) and Airbenders (Baguazhang).

So lets build combat abilities around these combat styles.

I wanna start on earth bending first, before any class features are done, i want the powers finished, or mostly finished. I kind of want everyone to help out, so it looks the best it possibly could.

1st
Earthbreaker
Level: Bender 1
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Components: Somatic (deep breath and a stomp, centering your stance)
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: Up to 1 cu. ft. (est. 200 lbs.) / 4 levels of stone, dirt or gravel; all of which must be adjacent.
Duration: instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

With a stomp, the earth bender causes a large chunk of earth to take shape, breaking free of its surroundings. It also allows you to harden soft dirt and gravel into tightly compacted rocks, or vice versa. This allows you to break free stone objects, such as columns or statues from their attachments, as well as create cuts in stone. With enough cuts, one could slice a door into a stone wall with enough uses of this ability combined with moving them with another power.

Lift Earth
Level: Bender 1
Casting Time: 1 move action
Components: Somatic (a lifting arm and a stomp)
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: Up to 1 cu. ft. (est. 200 lbs.) / 4 levels of stone, dirt or gravel; all of which must be adjacent.
Duration: Concentration
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

This ability allows benders to grab a chunk of earth, varying in size and weight based on the power of the bender, and seize control over it. This allows earth benders the ability to lift these stones into the air, and move them about with their power. They can use these masses of earth as hardened projectiles once they gain control of them. The chunk of stone can be moved dexterously at a speed of 5 feet per round, as long as it remains within range. The bender can lift an additional 50 lbs per level with this, assuming the weight sits atop or holds on to the mass of earth. Although lifting extra weight can be done, it fatigues the bender after a minute of doing so.

Hurl Earth
Level: Bender 1
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Components: Somatic (arm motions of hurling the object in the direction its to fly towards) and Focus (the stone or compacted earth to be thrown)
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: one target within range
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No

The earth bender hurls a mass of stone or earth at one target within range. the bender must make a successful ranged touch attack at the target. If successful, the projectile deals 1d6 bludgeoning damage per 200 lbs. to the target.

Earth Toss
Level: Bender 1
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Components: Somatic (quick flicking gesture at the target)
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: one target within range
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: reflex negates
Spell Resistance: No

The earth bender hurls a cloud of loose dirt or sand at one target's face and eyes. This deals no damage itself, but causes temporary blindness for 1 minute, until they spend a full round rinsing their eyes out with clean water. the target can make a reflex save to avoid the cloud, negating this effect.

2nd

Earth Stomp
Level: Bender 2
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Components: Somatic (quick flicking gesture at the target)
Range: 10 ft./4 levels radius, centered on bender
Target: all within range
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: none (see text)
Spell Resistance: No

With a powerful stomp, the ground around the bender shifts violently, requiring everyone within range (except the bender) to make a balance check or be knocked prone, taking 1d4 nonlethal damage.

Earth Catapult
Level: Bender 2
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Components: Somatic (quick flicking gesture at the target)
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: one 10 ft. square of earth and all objects or creatures standing on it.
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: reflex negates
Spell Resistance: No

With a gesture, a 10 ft. square of earth is shifted and violently flipped in the chosen direction. this ability flings anyone on that 10 ft. square unless they make a reflex save to leap away. if successful, this ability flings the target 5 ft. / 4 levels, dealing damage is if they had fallen from equal height. This power can be used to violently launch targets off cliffs or ledges.

Earth Grasp
Earth Wall
Level: Bender 2
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Components: Somatic (quick flicking gesture at the target)
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: one 10 ft. square of earth and all objects or creatures standing on it.
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: reflex negates
Spell Resistance: No

Grapple attempt from the earth.

3rd

Earthbreaker, Mass
Level: Bender 3
Range: medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./ level)
Target: Up to five separate chunks of 1 cu. ft. (est. 200 lbs.) / 4 levels of stone, dirt or gravel

This ability functions like earthbreaker, but allows multiple chunks of earht to be controlled. This allows you to grasp 1 stone / 4 levels, rather than only one.

Lift Earth, Mass
Level: Bender 3
Range: medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./ level)
Target: Up to five chunks of 1 cu. ft. (est. 200 lbs.) / 4 levels of earth

This ability functions like lift earth, but allows benders to grab multiple chunks of earth, giving the bender more to lift, throw or to move.

Hurl Earth, Mass
Level: Bender 3
Range: medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./ level)
Target: one target per stone, all within 30 ft. of each other

this functions as hurl earth, but allows the earth bender to hurl a greater number of stones or chunks of earth. The bender must make a successful ranged touch attack against each of the targets. If successful, each projectile deals 2d6 bludgeoning damage per 200 lbs. to the target. the stones can be thrown at as many targets as there are chunks of earth, assuming they are all within 30 ft. of each other.

Earth Wall
Like wall of stone

4th

Earth Prison
encases target's body in stone, locking them in place.

Earthquake
Self explanatory

Stone body armor
Covers the bender in stone, acting like armor
