Im pretty sure its called an Inquisitor or something similar and i know that the class has an ability called Smite Corruption (or something close to that), but i cant remember what book its in

Shadowbane Inquisitor from Complete Adventurer? He has a Smite feature which he uses againts ones he deems "corrupt".

Heroes of Horror might be the book you want, if corruption/taint is involved.
