Hello everyone,

Odds are my current campaign is over within the first half-hour of my session tomorrow. I have already told all my players to prepare a backup PC just in case.

A little background on my cosmology:
-Humans are almost extinct. They were considered a "plague" by both the savage races and the long-lived raced (Elves, Dwarves, Vampire Counts).
-This world/new setting I have been envisioning for a while is meant to be one of the last worlds in my Material Plane (I run Spelljammer a lot) where Humans managed to hold out the "fall".

About this world/setting specifically:
-When the last five Human gods went into eternal hiding with a handful of Humans under a treaty with the other gods (both good and evil ones), the good gods (Moradin, Corellon, etc) decided, with a heavy heart, that the "Human Plague" could not be allowed to spread again. This last stronghold world of humanity had to be "cleansed" or their children could once again be driven from their Elven Forests or Dwarven Kingdoms.
-To the complete surprise of the evil powers and deities, the good gods unbound their hands on this world and sent down armies of Angels (aka Celestials) onto the planet to open the gates to the Abyss.
-As the planet, especially the Human settlements, were ravaged the armies of Angels stationed themselves around the forests and kingdoms of the Elves, as well as the mountains, valleys, and realms of the Dwarves. There they remain until the "cleansing" is complete, and the call to drive the Demons back into the Abyss is heard from above.

Some Houserules for this world:
-I am giving everything Demon or Demon-related DR vs. Silver.
-While Angels will not hinder, and might even help, members of other races stuck in this mess, they consider any creature aiding a Human (even a Dwarf or Elf) an enemy that must be dealt with.
-This is a Post-Apocalyptic world. D20 Modern weapons and such will be rare, but scattered around as treasure.

What I need:
-ANYTHING Demon or Angel related. Most of the stuff stated out in the official books are too high level to start off with at 1st level and up like I want to.
-Ideas, suggestions, and such for this campaign idea.
-I am ESPECIALLY interested for the first few levels in something akin to the Chaos tainted Imperial Guard from 40,000K. A Demon tainted template or such would BE awesome. :D

Many Pikas in advance!

Not really a template but I made a few races that can represent various different types of level 1 fiends. I've adjusted them to your campaign. You're meant to take class levels with them - they function as normal LA +0 races.

Basic Fiend - +2 Any, -2 Any, Darkvision (can see even in deeper darkness), +1 natural armor, two natural claw attacks dealing 1d6 damage (19-20, x2), a natural bite, gore, or tail attack dealing 1d10 damage (x3), DR 2/silver.

Succubus or Similar - +2 Charisma, -2 Strength, Darkvision (can see even in deeper darkness), DR 2/silver, disguise self at-will.

Imp or Similar - -2 Constitution, Small size, Darkvision (can see even in deeper darkness), DR 1/silver, delayed flight as a raptoran.

Medium Flying Fiend - +2 Any, -2 Any, Darkvision (can see even in deeper darkness), DR 2/silver, delayed flight as a raptoran.

Large Fiend - +2 Strength or Constitution, -2 Any, Large size, Darkvision (can see even in deeper darkness, +2 natural armor, two natural claw attacks dealing 1d8 damage (19-20, x2), DR 3/silver. Replace +1 natural armor and the claw attacks with a bite, gore, or tail attack if desired. Replace +2 natural armor with a bite, gore, or tail attack if you want both types of natural attacks.

All of the demons have the Outsider type and the Chaotic and Evil subtypes.

More traditional demons CR 9-17:

It's on a Wiki, but there is a demon-specific sourcebook called the Liber Demonica (http://www.dnd-wiki.org/wiki/Liber_Demonica_%283.5e_Sourcebook%29) that I worked on as part of a collaborative effort which re-did all of the original demons while adding a couple original ones. The monsters span every CR from 1 to 20, and there are racial paragon classes for demons known as "Ravaged" that have abilities particular to each demon lord. I don't quite know the power level you are seeking or the particulars of Spelljammer, but I hope it helps should you decide to look.

Lesser Succubus (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=280246) by Celesyne is really rather good.

Simple but sweet. I like. The Basic Demon will come in very handy at 1st-3rd level. Thanks for adding the silver. :)

That link seems very useful and well done. I might have a LOT of fun with it. :D

I don't think I've ever seen any homebrew angels. I've had a few ideas on how to customize them for different gods, especially nongood ones, but I never got down to writing it up.

You can use my dairymaid angels (see my sig). There are others floating around. Might take some Google-fu to find them.

In my signature (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=14190270#post14190270) you may find angels suited for shadow magic along with supporting mysteries and prestige classes.

If shadowcasting and/or ToB isn't your cup of tea, I suggest The gates of heaven (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=170482) from this board, which is a comprehensive guide to anything angelic.

Lastly, Dicefreaks (http://dicefreaks.superforums.org/index.php?sid=d682c7fc8c1b44fbd5ae63653beac2e1) could help.

The arc walker (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=9182117&postcount=1) is ridden by angels. :smalltongue:

I looked for half an hour for a project that I liked a while ago and was going to help more with, but I can't find it. :smallfrown:

I created a race of celestial angels' descendants for the campaign I'm currently running..maybe you could use them. I've changed them a bit so that you can use them as angels.

+2 Wis, +Cha, -2 Con; they are wise and charming, but a bit frail.
Extraplanar (Good).
+2 to Diplomacy and Knowledge (Religions).
Halo: at will, this creature can create an halo over his head. This works like the spell Light, but has a radius of 10 feet only. The creature gains a bonus of +2 on Intimidate checks against evil creatures while the Halo is active.
Celestial Resilience: the creature is immune to all natural diseases.
Known Languages: Celestial, Common.
Favoured class: Healer or Paladin. The character get to choose one when is created.

If you'd like them to have wings you could give them a fly speed of 50 feet (average maneuverability) with an LA of +1. Otherwise, if you'd like them to be without LA you could substitue the immunity to disease with a +2 bonus on fortitude checks against diseases and substitue the Halo with Raptorans' wings progression.

Hope this can be of any help:)

If I remember correctly, the Demented One and Krimm Blackleaf have a few homebrew angels.

now that I think about it, you could also take a look at Lix Lorn's Seraphic! Here it is:

Here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=4589069&postcount=50) is Krimm's homebrew list and here (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=7315805&postcount=52) is The Demented One's.

I would sort through all of it but...I really don't feel like it right now. Soz.

Leafed through TDO's again. Lots of nice stuff (Grindylow, yay!) but nothing that looks like an angel. Or Celestial of any kind, really.

Edit: Sure, as soon as I say there isn't one.

I have a class that is perfect for your campaign I think. It's called the Channeler (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=196557), it's an angelic/celestial invoker that gains angelic traits over leveling. Additionally, there is an arcane caster/channeler prestige class called the Seeker of the Fallen (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261221) for it. I've others in the works, as well, if you're interested.

Additionally, I made some Outsider Disciple classes (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=3756319#post3756319) that develop a Half-(Insert outsider here) template.

If you're into the Tome of Battle, here's a prestige class called the Kazarzeth (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?p=5571887)(a warrior with a demon-bound blade) and two martial disciplines, Silver Crane (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=137386) and Black Heron (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100874), that deal with heavenly and hellish forces. Lastly there is this class that could easily turn to demons of shadow and darkness, called the Darkling (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=177229).

Check out the rest of my homebrew signature (see below), there may be more of use to there.
