I would like to request something of a skill monkey class, mechanical and probably with few attacks. I would like to have a little mechanical minion similar to that of the factotum (is that the right class?). Something kinda steampunk-ish.

Artificer with the Obtain Familiar Feat?

Artificer is from the Eberron Campaign setting. Refluff magic for mechanics and you have it.

It's also an awesome class overall.

I second this Engineer, one of my players used it in a campaign and he was quite pleased.

He actually mutli-classed with the Xenoalchemist (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=205119) class and then entered the Medicineer (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showpost.php?p=11304680&postcount=3) prestige class. It was a pretty cool character.
