To all others: It is considered bad form to use an avatar without asking permission of the artist. Unless, of course, you have it specifically made for you. Please ask before you use any of the avatars in the portfolios of the artists unless it states in their requisites or on their portfolio site that you may use the avatar without asking permission.

If after you've posted your request to the request thread twice and there is no response, please PM one of the active artists below. (Do not repost your request until at least 48 hours after your original request, please.)

If you are PMing a request please do not PM multiple artists. They don't want to waste their time doing a favour for you if you've already got someone else doing the exact same thing.

If you've made a request but want to change it completely (that is, a whole new concept and not just a tweak to your original request) you may do so without waiting the 48 hours one normally has to wait in between requests. However, if you do this you must cancel your previous request, and you may not change it again until 48 hours after your most previous request.

A slight suggestion: to save loading time to make a post, please make a link to your picture after 3 days to make it easier on dial-up.

Hello all! I'm rather new to the forum scene and I was hoping I might be able to get an avatar made for my use.

General Info:
The character is my favorite DnD character, though, unfortunately, I have not yet had the chance to play him. He was a young, somewhat small, somewhat wimpy, and most definitely bookish character. In the game I created him for he was the first person to attempt to create a gun and I'd like the avatar to reflect that in some way. Maybe he's fiddling with the musket, taking notes on a shot while combat happens in the background, or has the gun in pieces. However you choose to represent the inventor side of him, to be honest. I'm as curious to see what people will come up as I am to see the final result for this.

It's really awesome, thanks for making it.

I do get the urge to ask for a bit more. I wonder if you could add a bit more color because that is what made me fall in love with the original. Maybe you could add the patch of blue (and red) at the side of the skirt and/or also adding the red feather and making the feathers a bit larger. If it is not too much to ask (or maybe it gets to crowded?).

P.S. Great job on the glove, I half-suspected that the glove would be dropped to preserve the order of the stick style, nice job.

Hi! I've seen some really neat avatars about, and decided to ask if I could get a custom one.

Gender: female
Equipment: sheathed falchion at her belt, spear on her back, an oversized ornate longbow in her hands shooting an arrow sporting four elements (ice, fire, acid, electricity), wearing a full set of grey plate mail trimmed with silver, without the helm.
Skin Color: pale green (a Paris Green, or Pistachio)
Hair color: many shades of blue with single gold strands throughout, long and braided past her waist.

Overall, this tektek is pretty close to what I want- it's the general profile and coloring, although the spear should be gold-colored instead of steel/silver. A bit more fantasy-like than in the Tektek overall, since she's an Exalted character, and her hair's tied back in a ponytail, not spread out like in the tektek.

Ideally I'd like her wearing a blue kimono with white hakama (samurai split skirt), and a pale blue obi (butterfly style if you like) (wrapped belt, possibly with a pretty bow in back), with a sheathed daisho (katana and wakizashi) stuck in it. While it isn't shown in that picture, she has a tail the same style as her ears (gold with a white tip)

Pose - I leave that to the artist, I'll be happy with anything really. Whatever you want to do, be it ready to kick tail or just serene or whatever < ._.>

Explanation of Exalted stuff stolen straight from the recent Exalted Week thread:
The Exalted are the demigod champions of Creation.
Solars are holy champions that glow with the golden light of the sun's blessing. Your best bet for Charles Atlas Superpowers or holy types, also crazy-awesome sorcerers.
All Exalted have a Caste symbol, usually located on the forehead, which for Solars glows with the light of the sun when they use their powers.
The Dawn "Caste" are the warriors and generals of the Solar Exalted. The symbol of the Dawn Caste is a yellow sun, and the Dawn Caste tend to become terrifyingly radiant in the midst of battle.

Her blue-green eyes are usually hidden by some manner of visor or goggles, and her black hair is worn short so as to not get caught in any gears. While her torso is not quite developed to womanly whiles, she does have some degree of curves, but it's likely she'd only really be considered "attractive" to a very slim subset of people.

On the more fantastic end of things, Chouko is usually equipped with prosthetic limbs of a design not commonly seen on humans. Her legs are curved and tri-segmented and docked into a rapidly-shifting and rotating base around her hips, and while her prosthetic arms are relatively normal, she has seen fit to equip herself with two pairs of them. They are all fairly advanced demonstrations of robotics, and demonstrate strength about on par with an above-average shinigami. What's more, Chouko is often striving further into the evolution of advanced robotics and prosthesis, so her form is ever-changing (perhaps not on a daily or monthly basis, but every few years, as the mortal field expands as well).

Hiya, I think it's about time I moved on to a new avatar if somebody would be so kind :smallsmile:

The Exalted are the demigod champions of Creation.
Solars are holy champions that glow with the golden light of the sun's blessing. Your best bet for Charles Atlas Superpowers or holy types, also crazy-awesome sorcerers.
All Exalted have a Caste symbol, usually located on the forehead, which for Solars glows with the light of the sun when they use their powers.
The Dawn "Caste" are the warriors and generals of the Solar Exalted. The symbol of the Dawn Caste is a yellow sun, and the Dawn Caste tend to become terrifyingly radiant in the midst of battle.

Khaju is a kobold of medium stature. His scales are a deep russet-brown, and each one of them is edged with a sapphire-blue, indicating his draconic heritage. his eyes have golden irises, and his stare is unwavering, and unnerving for the weak-willed. Hello beautiful people of the Arts Threads. I have been in the playground for some time now and I think it's finally time for an Avatar. I've tryed to create one on my own but as hard as I tryed I never was a really talented artist (at least when it comes to everything where I have to bring something artistic to paper).
Anyways ... after spending hours (literally hours) on trying to find a way to bring my thoughts to paper (or rather data) I finally surrendered.

Now I was wondering if one of you could help me out and create a character for me. It will be my character for a long time if I'm happy with him (gonna be male hopefully) and of course I will honour the artist with a thank-you note in my zig.

Description:
-Gender: male
-Equipment: No Armor, allowing for good movement (think fantasy martial arts clothes), psionic style -> (if possible ... whatver that means), good orientation is the picture of Xeph (page 7 XPH),
Elegant Spear made of Deep Crystal (basically crystaline spear) hold in a dynamic pose
-Psionic Tattoos on arms and chest (slightly blue glowing) ... dragonstyle (imagine east asian tatoos / japanese and/or chinese)
-Race: Athletic Xeph (and please don't take the horrible picture of the soulknife for them ... the one on XPH 7 is pretty good and just give it a more alien flavour according to the description if possible)
-Hair: Typical Xeph bound to a tail (black colour)
-Class: Nomad Psion / think mobile manifester running on walls/teleporting etc
-Pose: some pose showing dynamic and style (cool smile appreciated)

Hello there! I've had this avatar from a game that died a while back, but I'm just seeing if I might be able to request a new one.

Equipment: Light armor/sleeveless with metal bracers and an arm cuff, as well as a deep navy cloak.
Notable Features: She tries to look for the most part like an ordinary human, so there wouldn't be all that much in terms of notable features. Grey or light blue eyes would be ideal though.

The ears are bit too big and kinda look like they're coming from the front side of the head rather than a bit from the back as ears should. So a smidge smaller, a tad lower, I guess? The bottom leaf seems unnecessary. Perhaps a longer staff and have him leaning on it, somewhat Raistlin-esquely? Really, though, it's just the ears. The overall design and expression especially are gold. The "Hmm" is delicious.

This was a tricky one - creating someone smiling, but sad, while at the same time insane was a bit of a tall order :smallsmile: I'm also not sure what a "death thing" is, so I used a little artistic license on that score. I also left out the chainmail greaves, since I have no idea how one would make greaves out of mail (chausses, yes - sort of like mail leggings - but greaves are, AFAIK, rigid)... maybe he wears them under his pinstripe trousers :smallwink:

I'm not sure I'm a great artist, but I certainly enjoyed creating a Spartan warrior. Here he is - I wasn't sure whether the greaves worked with the OOTS stick-figure legs, so I've done you one with greaves and one without - take your pick.

I'd like a steam-punk style demolitions/robotics expert. Female, human. Lightly armored, an assortment of tools on belts, in pockets and such. A pipe bomb in one hand would be cool. Maybe a little spider robot with her.

First, it'd be nice if her expression could be less sour, more "oh god they noticed me doing what?" instead of "get away before I PURGE you" - slightly more distressed/embarrassed, that is. Second, it'd be cool if Sorioritas characteristic helmet could be added to the armor pile. Third: a different hairstyle, if possible, looking more like a stereotypical SoB.

Hello there! I've had this avatar from a game that died a while back, but I'm just seeing if I might be able to request a new one.

Gender: Female
Equipment: Light armor/sleeveless with metal bracers and an arm cuff, as well as a deep navy cloak.
Notable Features: She tries to look for the most part like an ordinary human, so there wouldn't be all that much in terms of notable features. Grey or light blue eyes would be ideal though.
Skin Color: Pale
Hair: Red hair, which is a bit over shoulder length and is loose.
Race: Kalashtar (basically human)
Class: Ardent (psionic class)
Pose: Standing directly forward, feet shoulder width apart. Hands are facing inward, palms joined together just in front of the solar-plexus.

OK I have kind of a unique request I think.
Invader is defined as 1. "To enter by force in order to conquer or pillage" so I wanted something that reflects that in my avatar.

My idea is for a medium to heavily armored humonid that looks like an inevitable, something between a kolyraut and a marut. Black armor, gold (not yellow) filigree trim with a spear and shield to match. But I'd like it to have organic wings. Preferably the same art style and wings (except dark gray) as darkcroax's avatar in his signature here http://www.giantitp.com/forums/member.php?u=15095 because that's the exact look I'm going for.

I think I answered everything for the description except this:
X Pose you would like your avatar to be in I'd love for the wings to be outspread but I'm guessing due to size issues they'll have to be tucked in. Other than that I guess spear in the right hand, shield in the left.

Probably stick with the blue/green scheme, but red or orange might really pop. You're the artist. :D Subtle green aura, indicating strong magic items?

Oh that looks great and pretty unique so far ... thank you :smallsmile:. I have some things I'd like to have changed if possible though. Could you change the skincolour and clothlayout more to this (http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs33/i/2008/304/b/a/Xeph_SoulKnife_by_thedarkestseason.jpg) style? Also adding the part around his neck and probably leaving the side of his mouth out smirking. Would be very nice if you could add the blade to the hair too (and make the hair a bit longer and thiner). Also his face looks a bit more like he is really smiling and happy then playing cool and just smirking (might be my interpretation though and isn't one of the big parts)
Two more things.
Do you think it is possible to make the wall going a bit more backwards? And probably recolour it to resemble a more dusty (think mid east city in the desert) environment?
